To Nurture That Sad Little One

Oh my child, please do be sad.

I feel your sadness and the courage you have to share it with me. This world is cold, but it’s not their fault. It’s a world full of hurt. Too hurt to feel your sadness. The beauty of your heart.

Oh my child, see what this cold world has taught you. You bottle up your sadness, feeling shame, and make everything look alright. Shame makes you strong and sturdy, but allows you to hide yourself from the world.

Oh my child, please cry if you so need. I am here to feel this pain with you. You are not alone.

Oh my child, know that you have a choice. To be a rebel in this game and feel what’s hidden. To feel how shame moves you, to feel how sadness moves you. This is YOUR process my dear one and I am with you. I am.

No, you are not the only one that feels this way. You are not the only one who doesn’t get it. You are not broken, my child, you are courageous enough to feel.

In a world of hurt, you are one opening yourself to it all. So, get lost in your sadness and watch it move mountains. Allow it to melt down this tense and rigid world. Shed your tears and watch them break dams in your heart. Take the journey, my child, because if not you, who?

Know that this doesn’t last forever. The sadness will be transformed the moment you get close to it. The pulse of life is ever-changing, and you my dear, are one with that pulse. So, please do be afraid, agry, ashamed, or… sad.

This is life's expression through you and it’s here because you are ready. All the moments you were moved to sadness but were not given the space to feel can have their rest, here.

So, be free and feel what you feel. Feel it softly for heaven's sake and don’t rush. When you are present, you have a lot more time than you think. Let’s presence this, together. I am unshakably here with you, my child. I am.

So go on, be sad.
